Is it possible to get ringtones for the LG4600 (Telus) without having a cable or using the telus "get new ringtones' in the menu?

I doubt it. GIN or the cable are the only way I can do it on the Verizon version. I'd recomend the cable. Only $5 on Ebay, and I've already saved myself more that that w/a bunch of custom wallpapers. Working on ringtones as we speak, but the stickied guide for the 6000 seems to be working for the 4600, and is fairly easy to follow.

I have a cable i bought last summer and i couldn't get it to work and finally got frustrated and gave up. I've read some threads that are new and some walk-throughs. Could you please tell me if the cable with the round part in it will work the same as a cable with a square part for the 4600? I bought it from ebay.

I made a mistake...the cable has a square box, but it sys LG6000 on it. should this still work??

for some reason, the cable never did work. My computer wouldn't even recognize it. I ended up buying another one, still waiting for it to come. hopefully IT will work..
