7300 phone/battery

I got a sanyo 7300 in may and all of a sudden my phone won't hold a charge. I went to Radio Shack where i purchased it and after trying one of their batteries they said it was my phone and not the battery. Has anybody ever had this problem? I plug in the charger and it'll charge for 20 seconds and then say "charging complete" when it's obviously not and the phone will die after a few minutes. It's not my charger because the car charge does the same thing. Any tips? Anybody know how the whole warranty/wait period is for having this fixed by sprint? Thanks for your input!

n/m guys. I got the problem solved. the connector for the charger was screwed, so spring replaced my charger with the one that plugs into the "data port" slot....so yeah..thanks anyways
