when you're typing on the 860 it seems to save old sentences and allows you to add it quicker to whoever you are writing if its what you want but to me this is very annoying there has to be a way to shut this off.. please if you know ... lmk. thanks.

dont turn it off, trust me. i had the same ? and problem. i was so used to typing txt messages the old way. but if you do it correctly you can type so much faster, once i figured it out i was very happy with it. say you have to type the letter R instead of hitting the #7 key 3 times, you only have to hit it once. ok say you wanted to type the word "JUST" instead of hitting the keys in this sequence 5,88,7777,8 all you have to do is hit 5,8,7,8 and it automaticly figures out you want to type JUST. beleive me it works. you only have to hit each # once for the letter. and if it dosent spell the word you wanted, (which it usually never does) just hit the 0 key and it will cycle thru different words that thoes keys spell. dude its simple. i didnt wanna deal with it at first either, but then i got the i860 manual out and read about it and when i finally tried it, i was amazed, you can fly thru typing messages. give it a try. and if it dosent have a word in its dictionary that you use like "wassup" or something, just type wassup using the other mode, and then go back to Word mode and hit the 0 key and it saves that new word. try it, trust me youll never switch back.

you cant, it will always go back to "Word" even if you change it to "Alpha" once your done typing the msg and you send it, when you go back to send another one, its back on "Word". no way around it, thats why i said Fuk it and actually gave it a shot. and i like it a h3LL of alot better now.

i hate it. i cant stand it.. and i dont like the fact that when people use my phone they can see sentences i wrote.
Posted by: DesertEagleSlim
woah, what do u mean "sentences"? i was talking about individual words. not whole sentences. what part of the phone feature are you using that is showing whole sentences that you previously wrote? ive never seen that.

I'm curious about this sentences thing, I too have never seen it save sentences. You mean when you go back to a text message what you typed last time it's still there? mine doesn't do that.

its on the 860 only..
its like windows when you type stuff into certain boxes it kinda auto fills in and guesses what you're about to write as full sentences..
its retarted.

but yet i still have not seen this. the only thing mine does is guess words while your typing, it never uses words or sentances ive previously typed unless i ADD the new words to the database.
