I'm trying out a M46 from work and I don't like it all. First when I opened the box I realized some assembly required and the battery and faceplate was a pain to put on. For the size I find the weight kind of heavy, it's about the same weight as the Nokia 3360. It's got a pretty bad key layout and I can't see anyone with fat fingers being able to navigate through the menus using the arrow keys. It seems to me that they are really trying to push Internet usage since I always seem to end up in the browser no matter which buttons I push. I didn't bring home the instructions with me, but it doesn't look like there is speed dial because when I hold down the keys it is just a shortcut to menus.

As a plus the blue lights for the screen are very bright and looks nice. The sound quality is superb and clear to the point that it sounds weird because I am not used to it.

You should have taken the instructions home. It shows you how to make your 2-9 buttons speed dial.
I was pretty ticked off about it too. Then I actually cracked open the manual. Haha... I'm still wondering if there's a way to get ringtones... most likely. I still have to tinker with the phone a bit.
It's an alright phone... it's nothing like the S40, but it'll do until my S40 comes back from the shop.

Go to e.g www.club-siemens.com , find a ringtone you like and use the tips on http://www.club-siemens.com/logos/logos-help.shtml to download any of the ringtones through WAP. It's free of course
