ok guys quick question for you i have the ATTWS NBO version of the MPx220 with .343 firmware. Now i am not on an unlimited data plan with this phone but am on the 7.99 1mb plan. Now on my V600 everytime i went on the NET it would calculate how many bytes i used, and there was a counter that added up all of my usage... so i used to be able to keep track of my usage so i didnt go over my 1MB... Am i able to do this on the MPX220...the phone never shows my usage and i have searched and searched in the phone but cant find a data usage timer for it...

someone please help...

If I were using the 1 MB plan, I would be very careful about using any data features on the phone. The 220 has full web browsing, not just wap capability, and it's over the air mail sync and other features chew up data traffic. It's a smartphone, and not designed to minimize data traffic - just the opposite!

This phone is a natural for the cingular unlimited WIX plan...

Thanks,
Mike

I am curious if there is a place where we can check my data usage. I understand that it is a full featured web browsing phone but would just like to know how I go about checking the amount of Data that has been sent/received.

I know there is a history section that shows the the KB, but there is a GPRS data monitor app.

Found here: http://www.ppcsg.com/pages.php?page...Traffic+Counter

I go to Start >4 Internet Explorer > menu> 6 Option > memory > History

Hey guys,
Just went and downloaded this software from HandanGo. It works great so far. Gives you a little status bar with the amount of data that you have left. Graphs it, gives you details. Pretty cool. Anyways, here's the link.

Just curious though, does this method also track the data sent/received via email or MSN Messenger? I think that this is just for the Internet browser, which would cause quite the surprise if you use your e-mail often.

Curious to know though.

For clearification, this does NOT give you unlimted internet. It is only the settings to connect.

I think the price just went up to $24.99/month for the meida net unlimited package.

Thanks,

if i'm correct the price for mMode (Cingular Blue/AT&T - unlimited internet) is $24.99 and the price for MEdia Works (Cingular Orange - unlimited internet) is $19.99 which has 1500 SMS and 200 MMS included.

Thing is, your not correct.

Cingular Orange Media Works is now:

19.99
1000 SMS
UNL MMS
3 Mb of internet usage

Sucks, but its true.

If you logon to your ATTW internet site, it's actually pretty good about keeping your data usage up to date ... mine is usually up to the hour at the worst.

That's the best way that I know to keep track of how much of your alotted MB you've got left.

In addition, you can also logon to Mmode through your phone to check the amount of internet usage and minutes you have left, but with only 1MB to start with that seems like a waste of your precious limit.

I'm sorry to hear about the new Media works plan. I've got the 24.99 ATTW mMode plan.

Hope that helps.

Are the people that were on the MEdia Works plan with unlimited internet usage going to be able to stay on that plan, or will it all change??

dohcrazy's post scared me a little. i called cingular and they said that the new package only applies to new customers and not existing subscribers to the MEdia Works package thought unlimited internet is available for 24.99 now (same price as AT&T')

Yes, you will stay grandfathered.

Yea, but that 24.99 is onyl for internet, no text or mms... add 9.99 for text and its as much as my voice plan alone.
