First post, cool forum, keep up the good work! I searched for this but couldn't find exactly what I was looking for, so if there's something I missed, just shoot me the link! TIA
I picked up the 6200 about 6 months ago, love it, but I'm tired of the crappy tones on att/cingular's sites, and nokia's site for that matter, I want something that sounds real. My question is: this thing has a voice recorder, it works fairly well, is there any way to mod it to allow me to use that particular media folder when selecting a tone? Any info. would be helpful!

Bumpity Bump...
I've got the data cable now, and am going to try manually moving one of the recordings, doubt it'll work though, does anyone have any input on this?

I was able to dump new tones to my 6200 using a DKU-5 cable and Nokia's software. If you have Midi files, the program can translate them, but the 6200 seems only able to support 10 midi 'voices'. Basically there are only 10 tone channels that it can simultaneously play; I'm little rough on this as it's been a long time since I last worked with midi files.
Anyway, the Nokia software does work, just be sure to install the cable drivers then the Nokia suite, then try to attach the phone to the cable to a USB 2.0 port.
I've only been playing with this for a week or two, but PM me if you think I can help.

i just upgraded from my 6200 to a 6230, after having the 6200 for about a year, and i wasn't ever able to get anything more than a polyphonic midi to work on the phone. if you want more, you'll have to get something like the 6230.
