[COLOR=blue]Does anyone else have this problem? I overwrote an existing phone number for one of my contacts with a new number for the speed dial position but then when i try to re-enter the previous number i get the message that it already exist in memory only I can't find it for any entry in the phone book. It's become very baffling. Is there anyway to fix this problem? Help would be greatly appreciated.

you should be able to access the number and name you want to over write, and just edit the selection (name and number), then save it.

I can access the name of the contact and the new number I entered. However when i try to re-enter the old number that I overwrote the phone gives a message that the number already exists in memory (but in actuality the number was erased by the new number and I've search my entire phonebook without finding that number). The phone seems to think the old number is still there and won't let me re-enter it.

i actually had to change one of the numbers in mine and here is how i did it:
1) go into phone book and find the entry you want to edit.
2) select that entry with the ok button.
3) when the number is highlighted, selct option
4) scroll down to edit
5) select edit again
6) delete the number using clr and type in the right number
7) select next
8) select save
you are done...i tried this and modified the number several times without any problems.
