The main reason I sold the orginal was because the reception was horrible. If it's better I'd get it.

I live in Queens NY.

No difference at least to me. In NY I usually notice people complaining of sidekick Signal all the time.

I am in NYC quite a bit and I have never had a reception issue. Then again I spent 99% of my time on or near the Westside Highway.

I've had teh SK2 for about 4 days now and well its a lot better than the CSK which i had for only 3-4 weeks anyway. I'm in nassau county on the island and have no real complaints except when entering the northern part of the island going through brookville is a major dead zone.

It is improved over the old sidekick but still is no where near my other phones.

is this the reason why I will suddenly lose everything and it goes to "searching" ?

that happens as least once a day, if not more....

I've had the Sidekick for about 3 days.. and it stinks for the phone. When I am driving, it sounds alright.. When I am on an ear piece, it sucks. There's a lot of echoeing.. And hoenstly.. when I wish I was going back to Nextel service, it's bad. heh.

the sidekick 2 signal is pretty good it is one of the few phones that i get signal in my school.

try a motorola v600 and prepared to be floored if you think the sidekick 2 gets good coverage

while the sidekick 2 is improved it still blows for coverage compared to others
