VX7000 Ringtones?

(Click here to view the original thread with full colors/images)

I just went to vzwpix.com and verizon changed there site with all new software. It does not allow you to load .mid files. It comes up an error. I had an Audiovox 8900 and used the old vzwpix.com and it worked great. Does anyone know why this stupid site will no longer let you send these files? If anyone knows how to send mp3 ringtones to the 7000 I would appreciate it

Simply change the Mp3 file to .mid and e-mail it from your computer directly to your phone. No need to go to the Pix Place web site.

Send the file to "yourphonenumber@vzwpix.com"

Thanks green lantern. I just got it to work. Do you know of anywhere I can get mp3trim? I need a simple program to use to change the kbits of the mp3's and the length to about 24 seconds. If you know of anything that would be great. Thanks.

mhe77 I liked your wallpapers but they are not the correct size for the vx7000. They are too small. Thanks though the pics are cool.

My wallpapers are for the vx6000. I was replying to your request for the mp3trim software.

Oh my bad. Thanks for the link. I got the programs and have made some sweet ringtones. I also found some cool wallpapers, but very few. Does anyone know where to get them for the 7000. I like landscapes and cars and sci-fi stuff. Anything would be appreciated.

how do you change MP3 file to .mid ?

Posted by: stumpyd2002

All you have to do to the mp3 to change it to a mid file is right click the mp3, select "rename" and at the end of the song title put .mid Then it might tell you: "If you change a filname extension, the file may become unusable. If you want to proceed, click yes" Dont worry, it is fine and it will work.

Anything else let me know.

thanks...

where can i get MP3 ringtones?

is there still a 30kb file size limit?

Posted by: stumpyd2002

I am not sure what the kb size limit is, but rule of thumb, the ringtones that are changed to .mid are usually only about 25-26 seconds long at 24kbps. They will go to your phone without a problem. As far as how many you can put on your phone depends on how many other things you have on your phone.

if u email to your phone, then the file size limit is under 300K
