google searches reveal 4 gazillion ring amplifiers for phones
with wires, but I can't find anything like that for cell phones.

anyone know of a product that will let me leave my phone
on the other side of the house and detect it ringing and
amplify it so I can hear it going off?

ive been lookin for one myself, Cingular has the fastforward charger for one of there phones i want to find something like this for mine.

Been poking around and I just ordered one of these:

I'll see if I can hack some kind of noise generator in place of
the LED (assuming the thing works at all, mind you).

At least I won't have to build the whole detector.

I know I said I didn't want to build anything, but that was
before I found myself with time on my hands over
Christmas. I just finished construction on the following
monstrosity:
