i have used the photo viewer within the phone to "attach" pictures to some of my contacts, but whenever the call or sms, i still get the generic no picture icon. what am i doing wrong?

first of all there isn't supposed to be a "generic picture icon" when people call. If you don't have anypic attached to that person then it should just display there name across the screen with your background you have currently selected. That is why your pics are displaying, because this generic no pic icon isn't supposed to appear at all. On my MPx220 it never shows a picture unless i attache a pic from my album to it. so that is probably your problem. Find out why it is displaying that "generic no picture icon" and stop that and your attached pictures should appear. Maybe you should do a hard restart, that might help.

Odd, I get a generic photo too. I haven't tried to associate a pic for cid but would like to. Perhaps it is firmware dependent? I'm running ATT .343

I had that problem initially until I rebooted the phone.
