I've had the MPX220 for about a month now and love the equipment, but have always thought that the camera takes suspect pics. About a week ago family members got the v505 and the v551 and I have been shocked at how much better the cameras are on these units compared to the 220. Why is the MPX220 have such a bad camera? You'd think that a $400 piece of equipment would have a great camera. PS....I have the .343 version from AT&T.

I have the mpx 220 and although the camera isnt the best mine takes some decent photos. You have to mess with settings more on this camera.[IMG][/IMG]

i believe the camera is pretty good, it just that the software isn't as good for it as it should be maybe someday a third party app will take care of it. od maybe a firmware upgrade. It all about letting the proper lighing in, but not under satuarating the colors. Its no excuse mind you because my friends i860 does let more light in an has brighter colors just on default auto mode, $400 phone should do this too, but we get alot more like mini-sd slot ability to play dvds, mp3 and such on phone full internet capabilities so it all good I guess.

Would like to see other pics from thenextel i860 lets not be fooled by the colors on the screen and the clarity of the pic once put on a computer

oh no doubt i can see the pixilation but my friends i860 pick up much better light in my house (which is quite dark) some times it astounds me how much more light and how vaibrant color are for the lighting conditions, mpx 220 is way darker can bearely make anything out. even with flash on.

I agree with my wifes 505 the lighting is awesome and so are colors, exspecially at night or low lighting in the day time ide say its a wash or with bright lighting. I just saying when we judge pic quality we judging how they look on phone or on comp.
