NO BACKLIGHT on AUDIOVOX CDM8900

I woke up this morning and my phone's backlight is gone. I cant really see anything unless I put it under bright light. I tried to charge it and the light came back but for just a moment. It went away then the images on the screen began to seem scrambled and became normal again. What do I do? I can still make and receive calls but I can't see anything.

Are you sure your backlight is on, maybe it turned off somehow, try checking to see if it is on, if not, turn it on. Could be a phone problem also, if you have Verizon(which they always do) they will most likely give you a replacement phone.

If you are willing to go through with that. Other than that I cannot think of what it might be.

Yes the backlight is on. I have Verizon Wireless but I don't have insurance on it. I don't think they'll replace it. I will bring it to the store anyways. Can anyone else think of a solution?

They don't really check to see if you have insurance..They will see what is wrong with the phone, decide if you need a replacement, and then just switch the new ESN onto your account..

Trust me I have had to replace 2 phones since July...

Ok, well I'm going to Verizon tomorrow and see what they're going to do. I doubt they will replace it or even repair it though. I bought it from ebay about 7 months ago. It's still a somewhat new phone and I don't really want to buy another one. If Verizon doesn't fix it, do you think Audiovox can?

Most likely, they will replace it, or fix it. I bought my last phone from eBay, something was wrong with it. Took it to Verizon. Gave me a new phone. Try Audiovox if all fails.
