okay i tried to download a free ringtone off the VM site and it said it would send a Virgin alert telling me to load my ringtone. It came and i pressed "LOAD" but then this message came up that said

"Securoty is not enabled. Enabling security can take several minutes. Proceed?"

i pressed "Yes"

and this message came up:

"Security error: key not recognized."

i have no clue what this means and i've tried looking on the site and the phone manual but i can't find anything.

please help.

okay i figured it out..i just wasn't letting it load..but now a message comes up that says "server not responding"

what does that mean? there's no signal..or the server's busy? please someone help.

Im having the same problem.. how did you figure it ou so it didnt saysecurity key notrecognized?

yea i did..

when that message comes up that means that the server isn't activated yet...you have to wait up to 24 hours before you can use it...even if your phone is activated the server for Virgin Xtras isnt.

i activated my phone in the morning and it wouldn't work until like 10 that night.

so don't worry it's nothing bad and you don't have to do anything..except wait.

They tell you not to use the virgin xtras for 24 hours for a reason guys... LISTEN when they talk.

Just wait the 24 hours and it will work fine... i was able to stand not buying a ring tone for 24 hours.. My friend has to get her phone reprogrammed because she couldnt wait to get a ringtone...
