I cracked my CDM9900 LCD. What is the fastest and cheapest way to get the LCD replaced?
1. Should I call Verizon and start from there? How much that would cost?
2. Should I call Audiovox? How much would they charge?

I am pooped since this phone is only several months old and new one would cost a fortune.

I'd call Audiovox. I don't think VZ will be able to repair a phone with a broken screen, they'll end up sending it to Audiovox.

Actually they most likely will. If you take it to a Verizon store, they will most likely swap your phone or repair it for a certain amount of money.

Trust me--experience

Repair the phone? Have you actually seen the Verizon guy "repairing" the phone? I know they'll swap it but some people won't want that because they'll end losing their contacts and stuff.

Actually, they may be able to sell you a refurbished 9900 for $50+tax. I have done this several times. Refurbished phones are as good as if not better than new.

yes refurb phones are great, i wouldn't say better than new ones b/c i have went through 2 refurbs to get one that worked perfect, the first refurb was perfect until i updated it, anyway they're great, sometimes theres lil bugs w em but well worth the 50$ +tax. I had a broken lcd on my 8900 and went into a verizon corporate store and it took 20min to go through paperwork and such and i had a like new phone for 50$.. awsome. Also if your refurb is messed up and you didn't do any damage yourself to it then they'll replace it w/ another refurb free.
