I just recently got a LG VX4500, and i Absolutly HATE the ringtones on this thing. i want to know 2 things. can i Recored a song as a Voice Memo, and turn it to a ring tone (if so how), and what is the best way to put midi files that i have on my computer to the phone.

I use a transfer cable that I picked up from RadioShack for $20. It's a FutureDial cable, and the drivers can be found online at http://www.futuredial.com/support/d...ficdrivers.zip. There is another set of drivers for the 4400 that may work just as well, but I ended up using one labeled "LGVX1.zip". I'm not sure where I found it, though.

If you use the transfer cable, use BitPim (http://bitpim.sourceforge.net) to transfer your ringtones, wallpapers, and address book. I use Cool Edit Pro to make my ringtones by taking a section of the song and downsampling it to an 8-bit mono file, which seems to work. Save the file as a wav file and then just change the file extension to ".mid" and the phone will recognize it.

As far as using voice memo, I've never tried it.
