My 8600 doesn't show anything on the screen when I plug the wall or the car charger but it still charges the battery. I guess this is because I'm not using OEM chargers. Is that true? Where can I find wall and car chargers that will make the phone show the charging status? Or how can I identify them if I'm looking on ebay? Thanks.

I don't know, recently my 8900 stoped showing a battery charging on the internal LCD, and it just shows charging. In your case I don't know if it's the charger or the phone. Mines not OEM either. May be we need OEM charges, lol

Oh, I forgot, eBay or Audiovox carries OEM stuff.
