Hi,
I have unusual request that I've been trying to make work for a while now. As an amateur radio operator, I'd like to be able to generate a few Morse Code ringers for my (Verizon) VX-7000 phone. I have absolutely no idea how I can go about doing so. How can I generate these from scratch? I have Cool Edit Pro as my WAV editor and I've been able to cobble something pretty rough, but nothing that would sound good.
Once created as a WAV, what tools do I need to convert it to something my VX-7000 can use? I'd ideally like it to vibrate and ring the same pattern, but I'll settle for just a good ringer.
If there's anyone on these forums who can either help me do this on my own or create a few simple ones for me I'd be greatly appreciative. There must be an easier way, but I have no idea what it is!
Thanks in advance,
Peter, W2IRT

After a little digging I did discover one rather roundabout way of doing it that actually seems to work rather well.
I downloaded two free apps. First was WinMorse 2, which will take any text you choose and output it as a WAV file. Using a converter, I made this WAV into an MP3.
I then downloaded the most recent version of BitPim (v0.7.23, which works with the VX-7000 quite nicely) and uploaded the MP3s to the phone. I'm still wondering how to have them in native format, but for now, this will do, and the files seem to play very nicely indeed.
