Which car would you rather get folks and let's here your opinions on both of them. The trim that are being compared is the 2003 Accord Coupe EX-L and the Premium Edition RSX. State your favorite color of the cars too while youre at it!

Posted by: RSX

Say is the pricing for the coupe out yet?? I checked the honda site still no pricing... the sedan is 28500 for the ex 5-spd... and the premium is 27000

now comparing the two... well if its more room then it would be the accord since it can seat 5 and the rsx 4. the accord has more room in the back too... performance wise i'm not too sure but same hp rating... (havent done much hw on the accord yet) the accord gets more torque and reaches 160 hp before the rsx... personally i like the rsx more it is a bit cheaper (based on the price for the sedan) but then rsx seems to be more sporty to me...

but for the accord the blue looks really nice!!!
same goes for the rsx but thats only for the type-s trim... but silver or black looks nice for premium

I guess I will just have to wait and see the prices for the Coupe EX-L first...anymore opinions on the cars guys?

Here's a pic of one (accord)... not stock though... but looks nice!!! except for the wing though... got me thinking about getting an accord but in the end i'm staying with the rsx

Nice picture, remove the wing and the car would look cleaner... I hate wings...

I'd go for an RSX, simply because its a lighter car. Performance wise, i'm thinking the RSX would be better. Though I have no frame of reference on that one...

RSX:
Engine Type
Aluminum Alloy 16-Valve, DOHC, i-VTEC(TM) Inline 4-cylinder

Displacement (liters)
2.0

Horsepower (SAE net)
160 bhp @ 6500 rpm

200 bhp @ 7400 rpm

Torque
141 lbs-ft @ 4000 rpm

142 lbs-ft @6000 rpm
...

EX:

In-Line 4-Cylinder, Aluminum-Alloy, 16-Valve DOHC i-VTEC®
160hp @ 5500
161 @ 4500

The choice is clear, IMO. They are both 4bangers, but the Accord looks better, spec-wise (and looks-wise, too)

Go for the accord.

Btw: EX-L is EX with leather?

If so, get the V6 Lx ~same price

Just a question... does the RSX and accord EX with the 4cyl share the same engine? they sound very much the same... (except at the rpm where they make hp)

I don't think they do, precisely for that reason.

The Accord has a helluva lot more torque, too

The Accord EX (4cyl) is 2.4 litre not 2.0 litre...

I see...

I would still go for the RSX... smaller car, more fun to drive.

The accord IMHO is a cruiser, not a sports compact...

RSX type S... that would be more fun.

Posted by: RSX

well they are both using the same series engine... the K-series... KA20 for the rsx and sir i think... not sure the code for the accord engine.. but starts with a k...

the difference in the torque and where hp comes from is cus that the accord engine is 0.4 liters bigger at 2.4 liters where the rsx is at 2.0 liters.

An RSX premium looks very nice in black.

RSX Type-S looks beautiful in blue, black, and white. (I think White is only available in the US, I saw one in Miami).

As you can see, my vote goes for the Acura.

Minus the wing, and you have a VERY SICK CAR! Nice pic dude!

Get an RSX, and you're no better than the 40 other ricers on your street.

Get an accord, you have a comfortable car with some nice performance hidden beneath.

Some punk in an RSX tries to race?

Burn him.

Funny thing is that most RSX ppl have automatic transmission. Makes me laugh every time.

This RSX *** with a fart canon even PUT HIS AUTO INTO NEUTRAL to simnulate that little rollback that manual cars face!!!

If anything buy the accord to be different.

Hehe, that's just pathetic... a good manual driver should be able to launch from a hill without any roll back...

clutch in and Brake, roll onto throttle while rolling off the brake feather the clutch. No rollback. If you feather just right, you can hold the car without rolling and without stalling. Just don't do it too long other wise, you'll start to burn your clutch.

Well if I get a car it will be auto since its not just for me...but for my mom too so Im leaning towards the Accord and changing the gay chrystler like logo up front with a mesh grill...anyone know how to do that? Anyways...RSX will be more fun to drive but since this will be my only family car now Im leaning towards more room in the car as well...and I dont think the LX-V6 is availble in Canada so Im just gonna stick with the EX-L...

Posted by: RSX

Well since it's not going to be used only by you but the whole family is going to use it then given that I would as the accord... LCD dash!!! It will be more roomy in the back too!! But if it was just you using it then get the rsx... anyways their both good cars!!!
