I'm a current Verizon Wireless customer and think that their phones are terrible. I've been using a bad motorola phone. Way back I had an awesome phone - the CDM 9100 Audiovox. So I searched and found one on the net. It was brand new and still with plastic wrap. I've made several calls and visits to Verizon, but only get help desk folks or engineers that can't do it because the phone has it's programming locked. I've tried numerous unlock codes that they have provided to me to try to unlock it but no luck. On a couple of occaisions, Verizon has said it simply can't be done from a technical standpoint, even after they contacted Tier 2 at Audiovox. Audiovox said that even if I get it unlocked (They said I would have to Cellular One), that it will be programmed incorrectly for roaming and will work like crap. Other times I simply get different answers from Verizon.

I have tried the various recommendations found here and elsewhere to try to unlock the phone, but don't seem to get the same response from my phone as others get. This phone says Cellular One when I turn it on. It has no phone number loaded. NAM1 and NAM2 are empty.

I love this phone so much I am willing to continue to try to get it unlocked and programmed for my Verizon service.

My main question is --> Is this even technically feasible? Or do you advise giving up?

My other question is --> If it is possible, do you have any pointers for me?

Thank you.
