I switched my A630 to quad band.....no problems
I activated videos on the phone......no problems
I chaged the Motomixer in mma_ucp and mma_dcp to videos......big problem! My phone is now frozen on the boot screen and will not go any further. I am a noob to all of this. Does anyone know if a way to restore the settings? I backed up all of the seems before they were modded. I can not get PKTools to see the phone is connected. I have tried turning the phone on and pressing * and # when it is powered up.

Thanks for any help!

How did you activate the videos? because I believe that i'm going to have to mod the a630 for videos and web and switching it to the cingular network, but did you flash/flex or did you just use the p2kman and hex. and what is the mobile phone tool's and PST. Sorry to be such a "NEWBIE" to the modding community, I just cant help myself.

To move the phone you need to have a program called P2kMan. If you go to http://xlr8.us/hofo/ to find out more.

To activate video you have to download what is called a seem file. It is seem 0032_0001. If you follow the directions on the web site shown above it will give you step by step information. I would not recommend doing it however. Activating the video was easy but editting the menu to show Videos totally screwed my phone.

I talked to Motorola about the videos and they said the would install the basic factory software for me. I am just waiting on the repair facility to get the new flex. It was really no problem to get them to do this and they said I would have video available then.

The mod I did do successfully that worked great was the quad band mod. It was easy and worked without ruining my phone.

My best advice is to not activate videos or give it to someone who knows what they are doing.

I had the exact same experience as you when I tried to add the Video option to the menus. I ended up having to get the phone replaced (under waranty) as I could not find an image for it and Tmobile wouldn't flash it in the field. I would be interested in learning how you ultimately made out with Motorola and what you lost with the standard flex.
