My first post--looking forward to participating!

The MPx220 is shipping with Media Player 9, which does not allow you to copy to the phone songs that you have purchased/downloaded from the web (from MusicMatch, for example) since they have DRM protection. Media Player 10 allows DRM protected songs to be copied to the phone. Anybody know when Media Player 10 will ship on the phone, and if you buy one now (with Media Player 9) will there be a way to upgrade to version 10. Tried asking Motorola customer support, but got nowhere.

I may be wrong, but from what I have read before, WMP 10 is a no go for the Mpx220. Also there is no known update for the phone that is in the works.

I see you have a mpx220--have you discovered any way to copy DRM protected songs to it?

I'm not the right guy to ask that. I do not rip my MP3s with protection. I will give it a shot and let you know if I can do it.

I dont get DRM protected songs either, too much problems for too little.

WMP 10 will not ship on the mpx220 at all because the lisence was purchased before WMP10 was released. It will however be put on all future products.
