Just wanting to verify that the SK2 does in fact use a standard (non-proprietary) 2.5mm headset and if this adapter would allow me to use the device my Ericsson Bluetooth car kit that I currently use with my Motorola V551. If not, anyone have a suggestion for me to do this?

I have a Bluetooth wireless headset that was made for non-bluetooth phones. It comes with the same basic type of adapter as you see on the page you noted. I use the Jabra headset for my home phone as well as my cell phone and it works fine. Note that it does not actually offer any control over the phone such as an answer button, but you should be able to synch up the bluetooth devices just fine. And yes it's a standard 2.5mm plug on the SK2.
