SK2 browser and security certificates?

My brother just got a Sidekick II, and I'm evaluating it for my own uses. A big problem is that it won't let me connect to my work email through the web browser, because the security certificate is listed under a name, but I have to connect using an IP address (it's not DNS registered, I presume for security purposes). The SKII rejects the page, saying the certificate is invalid.

Is there any way around this security "feature"?

Thanks!

Hmm...I guess not?

I did a bit of searching online and apparently this was a feature of the original Sidekick, too, so I guess there's no way around it.

Too bad, too. I guess I won't be buying one, since it's useless for 40% of why I'd get one.

FYI, T-mobile customer service has told me that there's no way around it.

Thats because there is no way around it....... The sidekicks DONT DO corporate accounts because the browser only detects HTML.....and because of certain firewalls as well unless of course u have webaccess to your corporate account that uses ONLY HTML
