Well this is just great........i have tried about every single tool to customize my start menu, but nothing works. You want to know why because i have the mpx220 that came with 2003 Second Edition!!!!! AHHHHHHH and no matter what it wont let you fix your start menu! When i look at it throught PHM Registry Editor everything is the way i want it to be, but when i look at my phone everything is in alphabetical order!!!!! WTF????????? i mean agile messenger is number one followed by active sync, this is not how i want it to be.
Can some one please help!!!!!

If not someone please tell me where mms messages are stored because i want to keep those and my contacts then i will probably just hard reset my phone to get it back to normal, ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!

Take a look at the following registry key:
HKCU -> Software -> Microsoft -> Shell -> StartMenu -> Order

The Shortcuts that you place in this key will show up first in the Start Menu. The rest of the shortcuts will follow in alphabetical order.

I'm pretty sure that you can only change the order of the first 7 or 8 items and then everything else is alphabetical. I have SE, incidentally.

Lies lies lies........no one has 1.7 f/w no one has 19. f/w (unless your a tester like the guy at mpxgeek) and no ONE CERTAINLY HAS WMP 10!!!!!! lies lies lies

oh btw two very good apps ill recommend.

Jeyo Mobile Companion (lets you import and export SMS messages!,call history!!!,and contacts!!!

And secure inbox 2003 very useful tool.

this is why people end up leaving forums because people like you have little temper tantrums that their parents never punished them for.

i checked and indeed i have wm 9, not 10. it wasnt a lie just a mistake. but since people like you exist, i guess it doesnt matter.

You did it on purpose, stop trying to make me look like the bad guy when you made yourself look like a noob.

just checked my phone too, and i got Windows 2003 SE aswell, didnt kno till now

Got an excellent program that would allow you to customize your home page and all of your menus including the ones that seem alphabetically set.

However, because you have chosen to be a tool on this forum I think I'll keep the information to myself.

by the by.... I do have second edition as well so i know this program works.

If you do not want to help thats fine. You are probably using one of these programs anyways.....PHM Reg Editor, Smartione, Jeyo Personalizer...

I have 2003 Se with MP 9 on it and firmware 1.30

when you exceed 16 links
your start menu is in alphabetical order ...

only solution : do not exceed 16 links
