mpx220 1.30 speaker phone question

i have the 1.30 sw version. and when i activate the speaker phone and close the flip it hangs up the call. has any one figured out how to enable that in the registery? if so can you share the info where it's been done.
i did do a search but could not find any thing on it.

I would also like to know how to use the speakerphone with the phone closed.
