Trouble creating a playlist in Betaplayere (MPx220)

When I select files to insert in the playlist from the storage card betaplayer freezes up. The screen where my mps are located kinda flickers. Anyone else having problems or is it just me? I can load one file, but when I go back to load another, this is when it freezes. I can load all at once by using the selection tool, but I cannot return to the insert file list or else it freezes.

I had a similar symptom with Betaplayer. What caused it for me was that I had moved some MP3s around to different directories. Apparently Betaplayer was hanging when it could find one of the MP3s where it originally was. I think when Betaplayer first starts up, it tries to open everything back how it was when it was last shutdown.

It's quirky, but it's free.

What I had to do, was, move the MP3 file (that was playing when I shut it dwon prior to the problem), back to where it initially was (so I could start Betaplayer). Then I selected another song that was in the new directory I setup, and started playing it. Then I shut down Betaplayer, and moved the other MP3s into my new folder.

This is assuming that you are hitting the same issue that I was hitting. Another solution might be to remove (using Settings -> Remove Programs), and then re-install Betaplayer.

As for what the best player is, I'm still undecided. I will say that this Playlist Manager (URL below) makes WMP a lot more useful.
