...they are pretty good for a cameraphone.
Certainly not on a level with a good 35mm
camera, but good for a rather freakish device like a cameraphone.

More downtown Regina, with my car in the far background. It's the yellow Ford Focus.

yup sure is a great camera...wish they brought the 1 mp 8920 to bell rather then telus :P

Actually, from what I've seen the 8920s 1mp pictures are really not much better than the 1/2 mp or so pics you get from the 8900/8910. They're bigger, but the resolution and clarity aren't any better until you resize them a bit.

So far I'm not very impressed with my 8920 photos. Mind you, I just started using it for photos since I got my cable last week and have only used it for a few indoor sample shots so far. This weekend I'll try some outdoor shots with it (if it gets a little warmer than -32c). Air king, the ones you took with the 8910 seem fairly decent. What resolutions are you using with it?

Those pictures were taken at full resolution, 640x480. I did adjust the
brightness to around -2 before I took the pictures, so that they would end up with good strong colors and no bleached white parts. Something else that helps is to let the camera focus on your subject for about 5 seconds. That lets it adjust its color balance so it replicates the subject as accurately as possible.
