I recently got a Motorola V400, when i turn it on it comes up in boot loader mode. Is there any way i can get it to power on normally.
Thanks

One thing I would try is loading a new flash/flex. Sounds like there's probably nothing loaded on it, like booting up a computer and gooing right to the c:/ prompt. Of course, I'm not as experieced as most posters, but I see no one answered, so I thought I'd give it a shot.... Hope that helps...

Hi
I have already flashed the phone but it does not help. I used pst and one of the triplets monster files. That did not help. It still boots in boot loader moad

Whoa...!!!
I THINK I read somewhere it could take days to come out of bootloader mode (I read so much lately I don't know if I'm coming or going). Do a search on bootloader and see what you can find. I put mine in bootloader mode, but I loaded the SE6452AXXP10F9 V600 MEO file and it came up, but I also already had 4F loaded, so I didn't need a monster file. I basically just had to recover files.
I don't know if this would make a difference, but here's exactly what I did. I connected the phone, then turned on the power, then opened up MultiFlashFlex, then ran the MEO file. I don't knkow if MFF is any better or different than PST, but it's worth a try if you only tried PST.

I've read before that there has been some problems with the software, and updated flex for that phone.
I would recommend (but be carefull doing this) uploading the V600 software. It should be, from what I've read, bug free and able to run on your phone.
Here are some links that might help.. check out the 'HOW2' section

I actually used the v600 flash. I am wondering if the problem is beyond flashing. Does flashing affect the memory area where the boot loader system is stored?

Hmmmm OK, let me try. It's like upgrading your bios on a computer. It really doesn't write over what's already stored on the phone in memory (ie phone #'s), but it does rewrite certain system files, like seem files and gain table and the such... So I guess that's a yes and a no...
So you're saying the PC just won't access the phone at all?? I'm thinking the problem lies there somewhere. When the phone is in bootloader, it's in a wait-state. Did you try MFF instead of PST?? As you might can tell, I'm pretty much a 'never say die' person. If the phone is in bootlader, there should be a way to load it!!!
Don't give up yet. Try somethihgn simple like deleting your motorola modem from the PC, and having it redetected. I know it sounds simple, but might as well start over at ground zero

OK, I did it again.....
What you're trying or needing to do is flex the phone with a flash program (that's why I suggested the MEO flash, which is really a flex/flash) ...FLEXING is like writing over the EEPROM, yada, yada...
