Vibrating problem

My Mpx220 smartphone phone was low on batteries. All of the sudden it started vibrating non-stop, the screen is blank. Its now been vibrating for the last 15 minutes with no sign of change. I tried connecting it to my usb to power up (standalone AC adapter is at work) but this hasn't seemed to work. Any ideas (thank God i have insurance on it)?
