problem maintining connecton to blade

I'm having problems connecting my KE424C to my computer and maintaining the connection. Even using phone desktop is volatile. when i do get a conection it only lasts a few mins or one sync. I am using the official kyocera usb cable.
I also would like to know how to set up my computer to use my blade as a modem.
