Anyone know of a good app for the SMT 5600 that allows an alarm to sound even when the phone is off (my T68i was able to do this)? Why any phone wouldn't have a wake-up alarm work even when the phone is off is beyond me (power conservation?). I've found app's that have alarm functions, but none of them say whether or not the alarm works when phone is off.

This drawback is really friggin' annoying...but that's just my own opinion. Thanks in advance for any help

I've been in the smartphone game for a few years now, and I have not seen such an alarm app, tho I have looked myself. I'm not saying that there isn't one, just that I haven't come across any...

Well initially I would like to say that with smartphones, there isn't too much that is impossible, it is just a matter of a developer investing the time and patience into figuring it out, if it is possible. Sorry I can't give a better answer on that front...

The only idea I came up with is to set the phone into flight mode. That will save some battery and avoid receiving phone calls...

I notice this thread started earlier in the year and no updates for a few months - has anyone found an alarm app that will work even if the phone is off? I've just switched to the 5600 from a blackberry, and always used the bb to wake up in the morning, with an alarm set to go off while the phone was off--don't like leaving the phone on all night.

With the 5600, the built-in alarm doesn't do this, and have tried Chronos and it doesn't do it either. The interim solution is to set the phone to "plane" mode, but still, would prefer to just have it off.

Anyone?
