Sidekick Internet Browser

I got my sidekick on friday and have been using it since. I love my phone a lot but is the internet really that slow. Im in the chicago area and surfing is really really slow. Almost slower than 56k. I was under the impression it was gonna be cable modem speeds.

Cable modem speed??? The guy who told you that was on Crack. Speed at 56K or about 56k are normal.

Nope. The deivce is not capable of using EDGE or more. Wait for SK III in 2 years

americans tend to like aol messenger but the rest of the world (canada, EU, asia, etc) tend to use MSN messenger.


i tried http://webmessenger.msn.com in my hiptop but it doesnt work.

try mob.e-messenger.net on your sidekick... tell me how good it works.... its for msn messenger on your sidekick...

i tried wap.e-messenger.net on my nextel i860 and it worked good the first time, but after that it wouldnt work...
cant wait for my sidekick

it will not be terribly fast, but if you're gettin ANY sort of connection at all, it's probably a good thing -- alot of people on hiptop.com are getting timed out responses for network when trying to browse.

hmmm... i guess use hiptalk and got all three ims at once.. and hipster to get my webnews and info...

sorry... one day they might be available in the catalog...

but how about jabber? that would prob work decent...

anywho.. i do miss sprint's 3G data network.. that was near dsl/isdn speeds.. oh well.. they dont' have a sk2 though..

Well the site loads up fine asking for your Passport and Password and has a spot for Initial Status. Guess it would help if I actually had a MSN account but oh well. The site's there to use...
