I have the same problem. I don't understand why it's an uninstaller. Anyway, I know that the other files are there so that the exe is able to run...which drivers should I really DL?

Download the ZIP, decompress into a folder with directories enabled. You should get 2 folders in there, one for WinXP, one for everything else. If you're using XP's built in ZIP folders, drag the folder for your Windows version to the desktop or something and drop it. It will copy the drivers there for you.

Plug in the cable, Windows should bring up a dialog saying it found new hardware. In XP, use the advanced option so you can tell it where the drivers are. Check the "From a specified location" box, click the browse button and navigate to wherever you decompressed the driver file. Go into the directory for the version of Windows you have, click OK. Click OK again, and Windows should install the drivers from that directory.

The uninstaller is to remove them later if you want to. Third party drivers almost always have to be installed this way, only some of the more recent ones have full blown installer programs.

If you told Windows not to install it and not to ask you about it later, you need to do this:

Right click "My Computer", click "Properties", select the "Hardware" tab, now click "Device Manager". You should see an item with a yellow question mark next to it. It should say "Unknown USB device" or something like that. Right click it, click properties, select the driver tab. Click install driver, or update driver. Now do the stuff above and you should be able to get Windows to load the drivers.

That's for XP, I don't think the other versions let you tell it not to ask about it later. It's similiar for the other versions though, so you should be able to find it.
