(Click here to view the original thread with full colors/images)

Greetings!

Does anyone know how to access the P910's hidden diagnostic menu. I recall on my T68i it was left arrow, *, left arrow, keft arrow, ....

I searched the forum and didn't come up with anything.

Any help is appreciated.

Cheers!

You, sir, are a scholar and a gentleman.

Thanks!

BTW, great Symbian themes. Kudos!

The option to format disk, is that the real hard reset or will that remove the firmware version completely so the phone does not work anymore?
I'm for sure not gone try this but just wondering.

No, the only way to change firmware is to flashed the phone. I believed the disk formatt will wipe out everything install as to a hard reset will put everything back to where they were when it leaves the factory. (I might be wrong).

On the subject of resets. How does one do a soft reset on the 910. I noticed there's no pinhole to stick a paperclip into (like there are on Palm and PocketPC devices).

Just wondering.

Cheers!

I take the battery out and put it back in since I have not taken the time to figure out where the reset is. Now I am curious! Off to the manual!

LOL!

That's what I do on my T68. I figured something as sophisticated as our phones would have a more 'official' method.

I checked the index of my manual and there is nothing on resetting the phone. I'm slogging through the manual (all 200 pages) so if I come across anything I'll post it.

Cheers!

Ok I did the Format Disk, Glad I did it.
Format Disk Cleans up all the crap you installed and uninstalled and then does a Master reset on top of it.
I was using file maneger on my computer to chk all the files on my phone, after Master Reset. It showed all the files I installed and Uninstalled.
So the dir stayed in the phone with extra files in it. So uninstall does not uninstall everything. I did Format Disk in Diagnostic menu and Whala my phone is back to factory settings and all cleaned up. it even told me that there was a file isue that also is fixed now.
Awsom.!!

Thanks for the quick reply man, I'm still trying..
May I ask, do I have to press down for the jog dial when scrolling up and down?

No, do not push in, back or forward. Simply roll jog wheel up or down as specified. It works fine on my phone.

Good luck.

I had the same problem - the problem I had was that when the rules say up, down, etc, they do not make the following clear:

Only move the jog wheel up or down ONE CLICK. Do not simply rotate the wheel freely. If you move the wheel more than one click, the instructions will not work !!!

THANK YOU SO MUCH Arabbitte!! It finally works with rotating "One Click" from the jog dial. Now everything's solved for my P910i.
