Hi,
how about the music quality on the mpx220, because i'm thinking about selling my mp3-player to buy the mpx220, but i hope i can get music on it with somewhat the same quality as on a good mp3 player (e.g. ipod)
regards

is there any way to play ringtones from the SD MINI CARD

Posted by: SmarthPhoneGuy

As soon as you insert the SD card to the slot, the phone will detect the mp3 files and add them as options in your ring tone list.

sweet, thanks Phoneguy, I am just waiting for my card to show up, the thing has been on back order since before xmas

You are welcome PsychoZ. Which SD card did you get? and where? Just curious.
Also, to make the mp3 ringtones louder, you can either convert them to wav files or wma files. I use wma (window media audio files) because they use way less memory than the wav files. It sounds loud as hell.

a Sandisk minisd 512 mb from eCost for $53.40, its suppose to ship soon, I am going to give them a call today. The main reason I got the card is to have movies on my phone.

is there any easy way to covert mp3's to wma's

PsychoZ, that's a great price for the SD Card. I paid $59 for a 256 MB card at Best Buy. I will definetely check into that site.
I have music videos and mp3's in my SD Card. I even have porn in it, it's so much fun. My friends laughed when i showed it to them. I haven't gotten that far with a movie yet. But that's my next project.
I had to convert my music videos from mpeg format to wma format so they could be played with the windows media player on the phone. I found a really nice software converter. It's called "Windows Media Encoder" and I found it for free in cnet.com
I also use that software to convert my mp3's to wma files. I only convert the ones I will use as ring tones otherwise I just listen to them as mp3's. They sound good and loud when you play them with the windows media player.
