So I was using WAP services just fine on my unlocked Sidekick II until I decided to remove the T-Mobile user's username by erasing the username via (jump+Shift-U at the system info menu). Now I can only get phone and SMS, did I just fubar myself until Fido supposedly gets the Sidekick II in Feb?

Here's some info from HTconsole:

Srvc: setState(Idle)
Srvc: setState(Reconnect)
Srvc: opening connection to disp.sidekick.dngr.com:5001
(200) netauth: 'danger.system.SysApp' is ALLOWED
(245) ResetLog: network status change to 7
Srvc: connect failed, caught NoServiceExc, err=11, generic network error
(245) ResetLog: network status change to 6

DO A HARD RESET......... itll erase all your info for a time.but you will loose all your info for approx 15 to 20 min depending on your signal strength......all your info is stored on servers.....so once u do a hard reset you will be promplted to input your user name and password

Are u trying to use the device in canada on the fido network with the Data plan????

Keep in mind that t-mobile has a version of the sidekick that is not designed to work with WAP. Although the manual states that, it was never provisioned with any WAP APNs.

Knowing that you're skating on a very fragile configuration, why in the blazes would you erase your stored username on the device?

Do you have any network access at all anymore? I would think you'd be stuck on 2-dots after this error.

You don't have a username to send to the network when the device tries to log in, thus the device can't log on to the network.

The registration app should deal with this and prompt you to sign in but you may not be able to do this on a non-home network.
