i kno this fone is capable with picture id, but can i upload my own photos to use with the tmo sidekick2? i prefer using my own photos as to i can photoshop them and resize them and such? i am in the process of getting a dev key so is there still hope for me? even if i get the dev key i dont know about doing this. any info is deeply appreciated

I'd like to know the answer to this as well... You'd think they'd have it set up for picture caller id to be used with pictures other than just ones taking with this crappy camera.

Create Photo Caller ID

You can associate a photo that you've saved in your Photo Gallery with a contact. This means that when you receive a phone call from that contact, you'll see the associated photo in the incoming call dialog box. Note that currently you can associate photos with up to 50 of your contacts. Here's how to do it:

Take a picture of the contact with your device and save it to your Photo Gallery. If you want, you can wait to take the photo until step 6.

In the Address Book, highlight the contact you want to associate with the photo, and press the wheel to open the contact's information screen.

The Edit Identity button should be highlighted by default. Press the wheel to open the Identity dialog box.

Rotate the wheel up to highlight the icon and press. The icon selector appears.

Highlight the Photo ID icon as shown above (the first icon), then press the wheel. Your Photo Gallery opens.

Use the wheel to select a photo (a check appears under the photo when it's selected). Note that at this point you could also choose to take a new photo and use that for the Photo ID.

With the photo selected, press Menu and select Use Checked [ ]. A smaller version of the photo appears on your contact's Identity dialog box.

Assign the photo and dismiss the Identity dialog box by pressing Done .

Press Done again to save the photo with your contact information.

im sorry emaster, but my question was not how to create photo caller id, but if and or how to do it with images not taken from the camera, meaning images on my desktop that i have edited or taken with a higher mp rating than that of the sk2. on my other phone t616, i coulld blue tooth images from my pc to the phone and use that to the phone, anyways to make this short, i would like to transfer images from my pc to the sk2 in order to use it for photo caller id. is this possible?
