Ok, i finally decided to test myself how much space is allocated for ringtones on the VX7000.

I recorded 33 (1 minute memos) on my phone. I then used Bitpim 7.20 to overwrite each one of those memos with an mp3 file. Each mp3 file is about 250K. After 3MB the phone will tell u that its memory is full and it will not let u record any more memos.
BUT, if you already have bunch of memos on the phone, you can overwrite each one with a ringtone using bitpim.

I overwrote all 33, and total file size came to 6.04MB. I'm sure that if i recorded 50 memos, i could prolly push that number prolly to 7MB or more? who knows.... i'm too afraid to try...lol... so if anyone is brave enuf to try it, please let us all know.

I have attached my "proof".

Right-Click and do Save Target As
