I was gone buy a xda2s till I called some one on there o2 Boy oh Boy the audio was horrible after i heard the audio i searched the net and there is a big mic problem they say., thats when i went for the P910A.I was never a Sony fan.
I also read lots of complains on the WiFi only working 2 feet.
Bluetooth not being a 100% on xda2s .I could be wrong but the audio really scared me away. I'm incredibly happy with the P910A and have absolutly no isues, I kinda think its cool this phone is made in France. I was gone wait for the O2 xdaIII, then the bugs might have gone by then, I really like the P910A and now gone wait for the P1000 instead of the XDAIII.
My experience.

i actually went from p800 --> p900 --> xda2 (the himalaya not the blue angel)... haven't looked back once (esp after seeing the p910)

sure it's bigger, but it's just incomparably more powerful and robust as a pda, though i do miss that jog dial

i dunno... the i-mate jam is aboot the same size as the p900... once the 850 version ships, grabbing one and modding it to 128MB looks really good... (a more worthy successor to my xda2 than the pda2k)

plus i just guess i was put off at the slow pace of the p-series' improvements

c'mon l.bo, join the darkside: billy g needs your support... heck, even the admiral tossed his p800 for an sx66! (who'da thunk it)

What I'm wondering about the HTC's (either jam or blue angel) is how do you use it as a regular cell phone as you would any other regular cell phone. This is what's driving me nuts. I love the fact that the P910a (I'm in US) works like a regular phone when you want it to.

I'm still on the fence using my (trusty, durable) P800, but trying to decide. I have a PocketPC already, but I'm also a Mac user. I really don't know if I want the monster screen, heft, and no keypad. I too have become hooked on the jog dial as well.

My hope is that the 850Mhz of my T637, the bright screen of my PocketPC and the OS of my P800 will combine in the P910a to roll it all into one.

I'll still use the PocketPC for GPS and eBooks though.

Regards,
Paul

I have both the P910 and the Imate Jam and here is my take......without going into which one is more robust, which one has the better camera, which one does this or that.......BOTH are powerful and wonderful PDA's with a nice complement of multimedia, PIM and messaging capabilities.......my comment is concerning which one is a better phone.....the Imate is unacceptable. The audio quality totally sucks. Low volume levels on calls, and a terribly tinny and sueaking little speaker. That goes for the speakerphone function as well. The P910 absolutely BLOWS the Imate out of the water in this respect, and to me, that was the deciding factor. Not the QUERTY, not the jog dial, not the storage....those are all things one can adapt to given everything else being equal.

If Imate releases a patch that addresses the inferior call quality I would be more than willing to give the Imate the edge on looks/size/feel alone.

Check out the threads at www.compactjam.com and www.xda-developers.com for the loads of compaints about the Jams' call quality.
