Audiovox 8910 Reception Problem

Hey everyone. I just purchased an Audiovox CDM8910 from Bell Mobility in Canada and I was curious about the reception.

It always displays 1 or no bars and sometimes going up to an amazing 2 bars. One thing though is that it does display 1X so I guess I am using that but I was curious if I should be getting more bars.

The reception quality is alright. I have had a couple calls drop and sometimes its hard to hear the person. I am in city limits though and a digital area. My old 9100 worked good and I never had any problems.

Is this reception alright?

So far the only problems with my phone is I find the battery drains a bit quick on it, and the alarm is quiet and short, it never wakes me up. Either than that I like the phone. The pictures are alright but always dark haha, but thats probably just has to do with the lighting.

Has anyone had any problems with the alarm, reception or pictures?

Whats your main intersection?
I live at HWY 7 and Dufferin and got same issue, its just the towers and being in a not so developed area.

If you live in Downtown you should see all the bars there (South of Steeles my phone always has full reception)

I'm in Brantford if you know where that is. I'm thinking your from Kitchener? I'm goin to Toronto tonight so I was going to check it out and see how it works.

It sounds like your phone is defective...I have the same phone and I have to make an effort to get less than 4 bars of signal.
It could also be that the Bell service in your area or wherever this happens is just really poor.

i get horrible reception with mine, in places where i used to get 4 or 5 bars with my other phones (slider, t720, v60i)...the only reason i havnt thrown this phone out the window is b/c of the camera on it

a lot of my dads friends that have teh same service as we do (alltel) have all taken their phones back b/c of the horrible reception and gotten new phones or their old phones turned back on...im considering doin the same thing
