Can someone please tell me how to flash my god damned Cingular wireless 7290 to the latest firmware from 3.8 to 4.0 i have all the ALX files and such i just need the instructions on how to flash to the latest software please help me and dont neglect me

Well, you could read one of the hundreds of posts on upgrading the firmware, but this is quicker.

Cingular has not released firmware to upgrade the 7290 to 4.0. There is a company in Hong Kong that has 7290 4.0 code, and it has been working for some people. You can download the code from http://dualband.three.com.hk/websit...d85300&lang=eng

Find the link for the 7290 and download the code.
Execute the code you just downloaded.

Then, on your C: drive, locate and then delete VENDOR.XML.

Start Desktop Manager (with the BB connected). It should check the version of code on the BB and ask if you want to update it.

Okay now you did it! I did the above and now have a blackberry that only blinks a red light twice and does not turn on at ALL. How do it get this thing back to a working order?

please help ASAP!! My computer does not recognize it and can not see how to reset the thing at all

to reset you take out the battery and replace it...
