Ringer Links....

Im wondering if I am doing something wrong on creating and downloading ringtones....

It seems like there are too many different steps involved to create these and this is what I am currently doing...

Cutting a song to size (15 to 25 seconds in length) Using mp3 trim

Reformat this clip to midi using Windows Media Player.

Open QPST to transfer the file.

And now I am finding out there is no sound, and Im assuming that I need to make the file size smaller and that will be yet another program to download and convert....

Question: Is there an "all in one" audio editor that will perform these tasks? - OR - Does anyone have any links of...Already converted (mp3 to midi) ringtones. And when I say converted, Im not looking for true midi tones(A fake version of music). I am trying to recreate "normal" sounding music or clips.

If anyone has any suggestions or links of intrest, please let me know.

Thanks in advance,
VK

you dont have to change the sound to a .mid file. Using BItpim you can transfer an MP# right to youre phone. Most of my files range from 30-40 seconds. I use Nero wave editor that comes with the nero 6 package to trim my MP3 files down.

Not sure why, but I was never able to get Bitpim to work. I found the link for QPST and I have been able to connect using this program.
