Please someone help! I can't change my file extensions to nothing... the '.bmp' won't go away!! Please someone help me get no file extension so my wall papers will work!

best way i've seen so far, is so "old school"

open yourself up a DOS command window, and use the 'rename' command to remove the .bmp

ie:

rename bmp04.bmp bmp04

If your using the data cable to upload your pictures. Save them as PNG and but the under My Pictures directory...no need to do that bloody Doodler crap thingy. So just "anyfilename.png", makesure the extension is in lower case....I found problems with using ones with uppercase extensions...dunno why.

ok, go in the folder where your picture is, or any folder, then go to
Tools>Folder Options> go to the View TAB, scroll down untill you see "hide extensions of known filetypes" UNCHECK that, hit ok, blah blah, now you always see your extensions. rename the file Bmp1. thats all and you wont be able to open it again so remember your pics/#s
