I recieved a sk2 in the mail a few days ago but its not a t-mo sidekick, its a Suncom. I live in NY and suncom doesn't cover here in my area. How could I go about putting t-mo service on this. Its not unlocked.

I think you should use your money back guarantee and buy one from t-mobile.

The One you ahve now is designed to only work with suncom and not t-mobile. Sidekick's recquire to be run on their own carrier or otherwise you are stuck with having no Dataplan.

I bought the sk off some guy in cali though. There is no money back guarentee.

If there are no other options (other than unlocking ect.), I guess you could sell it. I'm sure that there are people who use SunCom and want to get their hands on a SK2. (BTW, could you please tell me where the hell SunCom operates, I live in NY and never heard of it til' I came to HoFo). Sell it on eBay and try to cut your losses.
