i did some reading around b4 asking this so i wont look too bad. but im buying my usb cable. just to make sure one last time it will work on the slider. n i can download mp3's n wallpaper to my metro pcs slider!! one question in head was i read one persons post they said id didnt work for them. so that was only concern. thns if anyone could get back to me.

I got my USB cable a week ago and have since found downloading ringtones and wallpapers easy. Initially didn't think I could until i found this forum and read up on it a bit. Download "Bitpim" which helps. I haven't been able to get MP3's to work yet but I have downloaded midi's and they work fine. Also wallpapers need to have a png file extension and I make mine 128X116.

you should have no problems getting them to work for ringtones or wallpapers...

::note for cranked, if you have a folder called /user/sounds/dnld then your mp3s will go there, and they may not work under /user/sounds/ringers/

just in case thats why you havent been able to get them to read

Thanks for the tip, I only tried uploading to the ringers folder. You wouldn't know by chance what folder the games are found in. I have tried uploading 1 but with no success. Thanks again..

uploading games is kinda tricky...they go in /brew/ under a folder with the module name (same as .mif file) for example /brew/5028/
there is a post already about this though and it has more info...its somewhere on this forum...

ok so i got my data cable but i still cant get the freekin phone to read!! i have read over these how to threads over n over again! still cant do it. it baisclly says its not reading the phone " i tried com 4" and so on!! any help please!!

I have the same problem. The only thing I can get to work with my phone is the PST. Nothing else. I've followed the instructions and to no avail.

you guys both just have driver issues with your cable....depending on your OS you might wanna try uninstalling/reinstalling the drivers, uninstalling Kyocera Phone desktop (i heard it can interfere with some cable drivers)

thanks evryone for your help. i finally got some tones on my phone. now to put mp3s. ×××× !! lol. thats gonna take me another cpl of days. thnx again guys.

O.K......... This might sound like a dumb question, but here it goes...

Along with the usb cable, do I also need the software disc as well, to be able to down load mp3s, ringtones, games, and wallpapers? I know this is a newbe type of question....but i've never done anything like this (to a phone anyways).
