Checking POP3 email

Is there a way to configure how often the email gets checked because lately, I find myself having to do Menu+U to have it check because it never seems to do it by itself anymore. The only reason I know this is because I'll have email waiting on the network for like 2 hours and it never hits my SK2. And no, I don't have any filters of any kind limiting the delivery to my SK2.

I dont think that this is possible. I've been experiencing the samething when i use gmail, when i use to have my old hotpop acct it use to work flawlessly.

Are you using Gmail?

Nope. To be honest I'm not familiar with what GMail is. Any chance you could explain it to me or give me a link about it... I've seen a lot of posts about it lately.

gmail is google's free email service.. however since its still beta you can only get one through an invite...

gmail is cool in that its like google except email.. you get 1gb of space for messages and can search them like google and have conversations etc.. and also set it up to work with pop3 settings.. however, i notice that gmail via pop3 checks or sends new messages on a 5 or 10 minute interval.. just what i've noticed..

so yea.. first 6 people to pm me can have a gmail account.. i've had these invites forever and already gave my first 6 away...
