Yes, I have tried this. I am using a Belkin bluetooth GPS. I have gotten it to work using the below registry hack that Lamar from Mapopolis forwarded to me. You can find variations of it in the various forums.

I have had problems when using my Bluetooth headset, or leaving the range of the Bluetooth GPS without first stopping the GPS in Mapopolis. Feedback that I have received points to the bluetooth implementation for the US market by Cingular and/or Moto.

If you aren't using other bluetooth devices, you may not have those problems. Good luck!!

I also use Mapopolis with the Belkin GPS. It works perfectly. I had to do the registry hack initially to get it to work too but since then Mapopolis has released a newer beta and I am not sure if it has solved this problem. In any event, once I changed the registry it has worked perfectly. What is nice about Mapopolis is that it is free to try and has true spoken driving directions. Even after the free trial it is priced reasonably at only $9.95 for any one county or $99.95 for full USA access.

craigg,

Do you use any other bluetooth devices with your mpx220, or is the belkin gps the only one?

Thanks,

Chris

I do use my HP Laptop which has bluetooth to connect to the internet with the MPX220. I have also used a Jabra BT250 bluetooth headset.
