Cincular SX66 Insurance

I was planning on starting service with cingular and getting the SX66, but I am told that Cinular cannot offer insurance for it, so if it's lost, stolen or the screen is cracked, I'm out of luck. Does anyone know where i could get this insured. Are there 3rd parties that would do this? If I can't find insurance, I may have to go with T-mobil which will insure their ipaq H6315 for $4 /month with a $35 deductible.

I don't understand Cingular's thought process in this matter. They insure all of their cheap phones, but the phones that would actually benefit by being insured, the user is SOL. I would really like to get the SX66, but this is a big issue.

This is not cingulars fault. Linelock the company who offers the insurance will not insure it. You can add it as a accecory to your homeowners insurance like many people on here did

Hey guys. I know it's not cingulars fault, but seeing that they use LineLock for their provider, they could push them into providing their customers with this service.

I would understand if they charge per month was higher as well as the deductible for the unit, but they should at least offer it.

As for the homeowners insurance, would't the deductible be a lot highr than the cost of a new one?

You should be able to get a rider on your policy for it... Check with your agent...
