Could I have reset my MPx220?

I was in Florida over the weekend and was having trouble with my MPx, so I decided to "reboot". I had a little trouble getting it to turn off and back on, but when I eventually did, it was wiped clean -- as if it were brand new. No contacts, settings, pictures, ringtones, etc.
Is there a way I could have legitimately reset my phone completely? And, is there anyway to get the previous files back (pictures particularly).
thanks

If you pushed Power and the Action button, that woul do it. That is the only way I am aware of doing a restore to default.
Pictures, no because of memory type - unless they were saved to memory card, then yes cause i have done it many times
- reset does not effect memory cards, but could screw applications up if you install them to the card, not the phone (registry stuff)

thanks for the info. Pretty sure I had the phone closed at the time. Not sure which is the action key.
Not a big deal, I just had to activesync my contacts back and set up some email accounts again. Pictures weren't that big of a deal.
Thanks though.
Is there an app that will backup my entire phone config to my laptop?

Yep. I did this at the gate in Dulles, on the way back from Xmas. Somehow I hard reset the phone with only the power button. Anything in main memeroy was toast, storage card was OK. Only advice I can give is keep everything in an organized folder on your computer, so you can sync, then drag/drop/reinstall quickly.

check out Sprite Backup software... it will save you a ton of time if you have to hard reset the phone and reinstall everything. i make it a practice to hard reset once a month and within 7 minutes, all of my applications, home screens, etc. are restored to the phone. i don't backup contacts and mail because i can just resync everything.
one nice thing is that you can save the backup file to your PC and your miniSD card. i place a copy of the Sprite cab (install) file on the miniSD card and install it from there, then i can quickly restore everything.
